How to Build & Power
Tune Weber & Dellorto
Dcoe &
Dhla Carburetors
(Speedpro) (Paperback)
by Des Hammill "The
overall layout is almost
identical for Webers and
Dellortos ..."
Again, a good book, and

My
review:
This book is for twin
webber and dellorto
sidedraught carburettors
only.
Well written with in
depth technical
information on both
marques.
Previous experience on
any carburettor/s would
be an advantage as this
book skips the basics
and goes straight in the
deep end of tuning these
excellent carburettors.
This book will arm you
with the knowledge for
which type of
carburettor to go for,
and which to avoid as
there are lots out there
- with some less
suitable than others.
Des Hammill covers
strip-down & inspection,
rebuilding, fuel
management, air filters,
ram tubes, component
selection, manifold
preparation, carburettor
fitting, fuel pumps,
synchronization, dyno
testing, testing and
problem solving,
jetting/setting examples
etc...
A disciplined approach
in choosing the best
possible size of
carburettors, chokes,
venturis, idle jets,
emulsion tubes, air
correctors, main jets
etc. in order to meet
the exact engine
requirements. In other
words, when it comes to
carburettors and their
respective parts, bigger
is not necessarily
better.
Armed with this book you
will have the knowledge
to turn an old pair of
dusty carburettors to a
pair of fine tuned and
throaty side-draughts.
The book's essential for
anyone wanting expert
advise and information
to successfully buy,
build and extract
maximum performance from
their twin side-draught
carburettors.
Really excellent!
