Baby Blue Tornado Siren - Richfield, MN Posted by: Westy1962

This baby blue siren is on 64th and Vincent in Richfield MN, it does the alert and attack mode, it was especially loud because I didn't have any ear plugs and couldn't cover my ears because I was holding the camera! This is SO close to the houses in the neighborhood. |

Tornado Siren - Columbia Heights, MN - First Wednesday of May, 2011 - Ambiance Recording Posted by: Westy1962
Video duration: 252 seconds My son wanted me to record this siren again by his Aunts house in Columbia Heights. We did an ambiance style recording this time with the siren 2 blocks down the street on 49th and Jefferson. It does both the alert (1pm sharp), and attack modes, and it's cool to hear how loud it is echoing off the houses.....too bad it was so windy. |

Video duration: 154 seconds This siren is in Faribault MN on 9th St NW and 4th Ave NW next to a school. It was windy and cold. The video only captured the alert mode because it took over 5 minutes to sound the attack mode, and I was in the car driving away when it went off! I've never experienced such a lag of time between modes. |

Shakopee Allertor Tornado Siren Test - NO GO Posted by: Westy1962
Video duration: 422 seconds The Allertor tornado siren by the Shakopee Public Utilities did not sound today July 7th, 2010 @ 1pm. Pretty boring to watch obviously, but you can hear the other sirens in the background around 3:45 into the tape. I bet the city disabled this one because it's right in the bedroom window of a few houses.....the roof in the video is a dude's house, wow, that would be loud! |
