Anyone who owns a Sterling, Sebring, or Cimbria kit car know that one of the challenges is in finding a way to allow the side window to be quickly removed. Here is a video of the factory hinge mechanism of a Cimbria SS showing a beautifully simply solution to this problem.

Quick mock-up of one particular configuration I could use on my car. Just got these last week. First impressions: I love these gauges and highly recommend them.

I was playing with my Nexus gauges this weekend. So far I absolutely love them. This is a rough mock up of one possible configuration I could use in my Sterling. I can see all the gauges through the steering wheel (which is good), but I couldn't find a place for the tach in this configuration (which is bad.)

This is a response to a question on the SterlingKitCars.com forum showing general visibility from one type of side mirrors that can be used on a Sterling kit car. These are mirrors from an '80s Camaro with a rectangular parabolic mirror added. The video was NOT shot for this purpose, so it's not the best illustration.

Video response to a question on the forum showing amount of clearance/leg room available around the steering wheel of a Sterling. In this case it's a 12 inch wheel on an old Corvette column that tilts and telescopes. I am 6'2" tall. Seat was far back against the wall. Not much extra room.

In the mid '70s, in the golden era of the Sterling, California Component Cars (the manufacturer) held several very successful get-togethers for Sterling owners. This clip is vintage footage from the Scotts Valley rally from 1975.

"The Chase" was a silly home movie featuring the Sterling, done by the manufacturers of the Sterling at the time, California Component Cars (circa 1975). By all accounts, the people at C.C.C were a great bunch who loved the car they were building and who knew how to let their hair down and have fun. This rare footage is good evidence of that reputation of playfulness.

Just a walk-around of my Sterling, at idle, with it's top up. Gives a good feel for the exhaust note of the rotary engine at idle. Also, you can really hear the cooling fans when they kick on. (It sounds like I could use the car as a street sweeper! Oh my!) Please pardon the dust.
