Removed .060" from the outer spring locating shoulder using a arbor I turned up on the mill and a Lyndex Drillmill with carbide insert. Added a small corner radius to the insert before turning the retainers. Turned at roughly 800 rpm IIRC. |

We were able to remove .002" from these main journals to correct the hourglass shaped journals that were the result of a poorly dressed grinding wheel and over-polishing. |
