Drive to Live Another Day. 2 Tips…

Most of us know that driving fast is exciting - or more like intoxicating.

Which is why it can so easily be dangerous because you lose your normal common sense - even momentarily. There’s a golden rule that someone told me once which happened to click with me and I’ve applied it to my driving ever since. It’s simply this:

1. Go fast only when the road is suitable for speed

2. Take the pressure off the pedal just before you reach flat-out, when you know that you could go just that bit faster… but you don’t.

Yes, I know… but that way you’ll live to drive another day - or thousands of them. You’ll live to buy that fantastic car you dream about… live to pair up with the gorgeous woman you’re after … to have great grand-children… to… heck, I don’t know what dreams you’ve got for the future, but whatever they are you’ll live to follow them, my friend.

And you could ask yourself this question: even if you don’t realise the value of your own life, would you want to risk having to live the rest of it knowing that you’d crippled or killed somebody else unneccesarily? a pretty tough thought, isn’t it?

… and while we’re at it what would your Dad say if you did this… ouch!

Well it doesn’t look as though this guy had that problem - but he must have felt such an idiot!  (if this video doesn’t load, click on it a 3rd time and it will by taking you to the source)

Have a great week!

Quick Note About ‘The Greatest Motorshow’…

Yes, the ‘AutoSport Internation’ Motorshow was well worth visiting.   And yes, I know….I still haven’t put the images up on the site - but will do soon.  Reason is that I landed a contract in London that I’m really excited about.  It’s on-going for a couple of months so I’m away all week and the week-ends go like a flash…

Anyway, enough of excuses.  What I have done though is made some of the interesting images into desktop wallpaper.  If you’re looking for a new wallpaper for your computer you can download from here:

http://www.theenginerevolution.com/wallpaper/index.html

…I’ve got the sweet little yellow item with the beautiful lines on my desktop - it gets top score from me.

Oh… and the car was interesting too… ;-)

The ‘TomTom One’ - Satellite Navigation unit - Review

I bought a ‘TomTom One’ satellite navigation around six months ago and
it’s proved itself a gr-r-r-eat gadget!  It’s easy to use, reliable and I can
honestly say it’s been worth every penny I paid 10 times over.

The only reason I bought mine originally was because I started a new
business as an express courier service in the UK. It was a must-have
for getting the job done on time, every time.

Now 6 months down the line I can say that yes, it’s wonderful how
science and technology bring this satellite navigation right into my van
and my car… it’s brilliant!

It’s now starting to ‘rub off’ on my family: every time they were driving
a route they didn’t know too well they wanted to borrow mine.  I lend
it to them when I can but I need mine for work.  Now, one by one,
they’re getting their own.

Satellite navigation’s addictive – once you’ve tried it you don’t want to
be without it!

If you want to test the waters, so to speak, you can probably find a car or van
rental firm near you who will rent out a sat nav by the day.

This is what I did initially.  The firm I rented from had Garmin but they
are quite a bit more expensive and are no better than the TomTom.

The TomTom One is the least expensive of the sat navs and it truly
works like a pro.

I’ve written a detailed review of my TomTom One, including a video
where you can catch up with us using it for a trip to London…

Have fun ;-)

Make Your Own Hydrogen Fuel Cell Kit.

Are you interested in joining up with the international band of ‘amateur’ scientists and inventors, who are following in the footsteps of the great Henry Ford?

They’re slowly but steadily proving that it is possible to do the ‘impossible’… and most of them are doing it in humble places like their garage or back-shed.

Actually, I’m going to say ‘we’ - not ‘they’ - because we’ve joined the band too…

As the months pass, it looks more and more as though WATER is going to be The Fuel of our future… and global warming doesn’t seem quite so worrying as it used to.

Installing a hydrogen fuel cell kit in your car will give you between 30% - 70% increased mileage per gallon, much cleaner emissions - and to top it off, increased engine performance.

Several months ago we came across a Diy manual on the internet that gives out some pretty incredible information on the subject of water fuel and hydrogen fuel cell kits.  Apart from the 184-page manual that has masses of screen-shots showing in great detail how to do all the steps, there’s also a massive resource section, including actual blue-prints of hydrogen fuel cells - like that of the late Stanley Meyer.

…and if you’re worried about actually making your own fuel cell, you can find a small list of suppliers in the resource section, who send world-wide.

To join this fast growing team go and check out this:

…and if this is all totally new and unbelievable to you, you could best start here:

But whatever you do, start reading up on it because it’s pretty certain it’ll have a lot to do with all our futures!
