Tips:
1. Choose the 'night' setting with its
cool blue colours; it 's nice and relaxing and very clear whilst not being too
bright.
2. You can program the TomTom One by entering
your destination address if you know it, but entering the post code
is by far the best .
3. If you're running it on the battery alone
(not using the plug into the cigarette lighter) it will only last about 2 hours.
That's not long; so make
sure you have the manufacturer's power adaptor handy at all times and
that your vehicle's cigarette lighter works. If the cigarette
lighter doesn't work check the relevant fuse.
4. Do not rely 100% on the TomTom's warnings
of speed camera
traps as there are new cameras fitted regularly which the Tom Tom will
not know about!
5. Explore your TomTom One to learn
it's maximum potential! Be unusual and do something most people
don't do: read the instruction booklet fully! If you don't
want to do that, at least skim through it so you know what's there for
future reference.
6. Always keep your
TomTom protected in some sort of box or bag - all
sat nav's are actually small computers so they need
careful treatment.
Overall, a wonderful, user-friendly little kit that
proves itself to be a great piece
of technology and a valuable item for any 21st-century motorist to own.
